The award winning community garden is run by a dedicated team of volunteers in the mosque. There are several sections in the entire garden and each section has a special theme, from orchids to banana plantations and so much more. As you walk through the garden and reach the back of the mosque, you will find yourself facing a unique terrace with 3 large steps. The walls of the terrace are covered in coconut shells as an attempt to stop soil from eroding during rainy days. The garden makes their own compost and uses horse manure as well to feed the plants and soil. It is evident that the team of volunteers are creative and resourceful as much of the garden is formed by bits and pieces that have been salvaged or rescued from different parts of Singapore.11:54 PM
